If you haven’t heard much about VoIP before now, you certainly will in the future due to its rapid emergence as a major communications technology. VoIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol, and it basically is the ability to make telephone calls over the internet to either a receiving computer or telephone.
For years standard telephone lines have used a circuit switching network to transfer telephone calls, but VoIP technology uses something called packet switching instead where audio is converted into packets of data that are sent over the internet and reassembled on the other end by the person’s computer or telephone. If a high-speed internet connection is used, a conversation can take place that easily compares to a regular telephone call in sound quality.
All of this may sound like a very new technology, but in reality it’s not. Programs that make use of VoIP technology were springing up on the internet more than ten years ago, although they were much less capable than those that are available today. Also every year continues to bring higher standards of quality for VoIP applications, and it will no doubt be a viable technology for many years to come.
A good example of the use of VoIP technology is instant messaging programs. If you have used an instant messaging program that is voice enabled, where you can communicate by audio, video and chat, it is in large part due to VoIP. This is because VoIP is able to integrate audio, video, data, e-mail, and more simultaneously. Although most consumers will use VoIP for telephone calls initially, many businesses are already finding expanded uses for VoIP technology.
Several telephone companies are realizing the potential for VoIP services and so companies like Sprint, Verizon, AOL and others are now offering VoIP plans to consumers. One of the distinct advantages of buying a VoIP solution is that it costs significantly less than most standard telephone services. In fact, most service plans will allow you to make unlimited long-distance telephone calls on your VoIP plan for very inexpensive rates. And the subscription rates are usually free of many of the taxes and regulatory fees that often accompany your local telephone bill.
Another major advantage of many of the current VoIP subscription plans that are available is that they often include extra features such as call waiting, call forwarding, three-way calling, voice mail and much more. Quite often, these extra services cost more when included by your local telephone service, but VoIP plans usually include them at no extra charge. Another interesting side benefit is that many providers will allow you to select a new area code and phone number for your VoIP calls, so if you have family or friends in a distant town, they can call you for free on a number that is local to them.
Hopefully this information on VoIP technology will help you understand more about how it works and how it can be beneficial for you.

What if the Earth becomes unbalanced? What if our entire planet becomes uneven because of things like the giant Chinese Dam Projects or the Melting of the Polar Ice Caps with giant icebergs floating away and water melting into the sea and redistributing the weight elsewhere? Well, recently this topic came up in an online think tank and one member reminded us of how vibrational energies affect engineering and stated;
“Remember that bridge in Washington (US) state? The bridge collapsed because it could not withstand the DRAMATIC movement caused by it’s own vibration, THAT SAID, am I making any sense here?”
Indeed and I have watched that film many times on Discovery Channel, School and other places. Indeed the harmonics, vibrations and imbalances are important. For instance the Comet Airliners, which kept crashing until engineers figured it all out. The Harmonic Resonance was the key.
The Earth is a system, it rotates, its plates move around and renew. One could say the Earth is alive as it even has its own frequency, which is very unique. Indeed similar problems can occur from changes in frequency, harmonic or vibrational energy.
But remember the Earth is big and it would require some power to get all this done and there for the weakest links in the cycles of the cycles of the cycles of the cycles would be were the butterfly effect must be pointed to create the domino affect you are speaking of. What if the entire Earth becomes unbalanced like a child’s bicycle wheel and we all feel those changes in the way of Volcanic Eruptions and Large Earthquakes? Consider all this in 2006.

During the early part of this decade Toyota was examining its vehicle line up and the decision was made to build a car to entice young people who were looking for something that was small, fun to drive, and affordable. While the Corolla served faithfully in this capacity, Toyota needed something that spoke excitement. The Corolla just wasn’t that kind of a car and something radically different was needed. Enter the Matrix. Based on the Corolla platform, the Matrix does what no Corolla can do: turn heads. Let’s take a look at this sporty compact and see how the 2006 model stacks up.
In 2003, the Matrix was introduced to the North American market. Built in California as a joint venture with General Motors - the Pontiac Vibe is its twin - the Matrix is aimed toward budget conscious young people who want a car that makes a statement. To save money, the Corolla frame was used, but the Matrix stands some 3 inches taller and is 8 inches shorter than its Toyota sibling. The roof line on the Matrix is completely different too as it slopes from front to back and ends in a wedge, giving the car somewhat of a wagon look to it. This rakish appearance is what gives the Matrix its unique look as well as an extra bit of room for people and their stuff. Indeed, both driver and front passenger sit higher up, much like in a small SUV or as in a car like Chrysler’s PT Cruiser. With four doors and a rear lift gate, the Matrix acts more like a wagon, but its sleek exterior easily refutes that fact.
Motorists have a choice between front wheel drive and a four wheel drive versions of the car, something not offered on the Corolla. The standard motor for the Matrix is a 1.8-liter DOHC 16-valve VVT-I 4-cylinder engine. Mated to a five speed manual transmission, the engine turns out a respectable 126hp. For more power, there is also a higher tuned version of the same engine delivering 164hp. It gets paired with a six speed manual transmission. Four wheel drive versions of the Matrix come equipped with a 4-wheel anti-lock brake system [ABS] which is optional on 2WD models.
Gas mileage for the Matrix makes the car a motorist’s dream. At 30 mpg city and 36 mpg highway, the front wheel drive version of the car produces some of the best results of any non-hybrid car sold in North America. A 13 gallon fuel tank makes 400 mile trips a possibility on just one tank of gas; this is particularly good for the student who has to drive back and forth between college campus and home.
Unlike many cars of its size, the aftermarket crowd has produced a wide variety of products to help Matrix owners customize their vehicles. Hood protectors, tail light covers, polymer air dams, fog lights, hood scoops and vents, mud flaps, and paintable window covers are some of the Toyota parts and accessories pitched to youth, who are the primary owners of the Matrix.
MSRP starts at US$15,110 [CDN$17,200] with a top of the line Matrix topping out at just under US$20K to about CDN$25K.
For the entire North American market, Toyota sells nearly 100,000 Matrix’ per year. Not bad for a car whose origins are fairly simple but whose heart is truly sporty and youth minded.

The world of business startups is rife with option. You can purchase a franchise or build a company from scratch. Different approaches suit different people.
There are many franchises available to buy.Franchises are everywhere. Franchises are typically founded on a tried and tested business model. A franchise basically gives you everything you need with a well recognized name to draw in customers. There are many different franchises available. Some will give you the business name, equipment and everything you need for start up, others only give you the basics and you still have to buy or lease a location, purchase equipment and the inventory you will need.
The two main downsides of buying a franchise however are that you are not free to change much of your business model, and of course the initial outlay. Visit the Key Mergers website for more information or if you would like to f you would like to buy a business or even to sell one.
Starting from zero and building a you very own company however means that you can grow the business organically over time, you can limit your initial outlay and you can be as creative with the direction of your business as you like. Depending on how novel your new enterprise is, it is possible that your will have a steep testing curve and will have to make all of your own connections.
the reality is, the decision whether to buy a franchise or go it alone are multi-dimensional There is no one size fits all advise.

As a general rule, larger sums of money can be borrowed at lower rates of interest. So if you’re in the position where you have a number of small loans, you may want to consider consolidating all your loans into one larger loan at a lower rate of interest.
But, as always, I feel that it’s my duty to warn you of the unseen pitfalls that are associated with consolidation loans.
Now it goes without saying that you should avoid accepting consolidation loans from mysterious companies that advertise in the back of national newspapers. Many of them are only one step up the food chain from loan sharks, and their interest rates are usually astronomical.
Only consider consolidating with a reputable lender. But even then you must be very, very careful! These are two rules that you should stick to like a limpet.
1) Never borrow more money than you need to cover the loans that you want to consolidate.
2) Never borrow the money over a longer period than your current debts.
All will become clear as we continue. Just remember, if you break these rules then you’re asking for bankruptcy!
Right, the first thing to do is to find out the terms of the proposed deal…to the last letter! They’re not always as good as they seem.
Know how the deal works and what will be required of you both financially and practically. The more you know about the agreement, the fewer nasty surprises you’ll receive!
Financial Requirements
Don’t let their sales force talk you into borrowing more than you need. All their sales patter is utter fabrication that’s designed to get you to borrow even more! Their slick presentations will ’show’ you how you could ‘borrow more but pay less’
They claim that the larger sum will give you more money to spend yet cost you less each month. This is a classic trick that’s used to make you borrow even more. But they’re just taking advantage of the fact that you’ll be repaying the debt over a longer period of time at a lower rate of interest. Don’t fall for it! It’s a con!
Let’s take a typical example. Imagine you had five different loans of $2000 each, spread over 5 years at 17% APR. They would cost you a total of $242.05 every month. So you intend to consolidate, borrowing $10000 over 5 years at 6.7% APR at a cost of $195.85 per month.
That would give you almost £50 a month to reduce the size of your debts even faster. At least that was your intention!
But you leave the consultation having been ‘convinced’ (or conned) to borrow $15000 over 7 years at 9.5% APR at a cost of $230.63 per month. You briefly wonder what happened, but then console yourself with the fact that you’ve got another $5k on the hip and have ’saved’ $11.42 a month, quite oblivious to the fact that you’ll now be repaying the loan for 2 years longer.
You’ve been conned! They must have seen you coming!
And the result? Instead of paying 60 x $242.05 = $14523 under your old selection of loans, or even 60 x $195.85 = $11751 under your intended consolidation plans, you’ll now pay 90 x $230.63 = $20756.70. It means that your attempts to ’save’ have cost you $6233.70 more than you were originally paying and $9005.70 more than you could have been paying.
In effect you’ve just broken two of the cardinal consolidation sins that I mentioned earlier.
You’ve borrowed MORE money than you strictly need over a LONGER period than you needed!
Don’t fall for all their lies. They may be very plausible, but then they should be, that’s how they make their living! Slick, feel-good presentations that make you wonder how you could ever have lived your life without them and their ‘wonderful’ products. Don’t allow them to lend you any extra. Don’t borrow over a longer period. It will only cost you more in interest, despite what they tell you.
Before you approach a consolidation lender, know exactly how much you want to borrow and how long you want to borrow it for. Then stick to it, regardless of what they say! And if they can’t provide what you want, then go elsewhere.
Finally, use the quoted APR rates to decide which loan is better value. In many countries, lenders MUST tell you the APR if you ask.
It’s also vital to know whether there are any penalties for late payments. Find out everything before you sign anything!
Practical Requirements
If the sums involved are large (normally $20000 plus), most lenders will require security, such as a mortgage over your home, before they offer you a consolidation loan.
If you accept that and fail to keep up with the repayments your house could be repossessed. Let me say that again. Caution: Your home could be at risk if you fail to keep up with the repayments!
So you must be deadly earnest about your ability to keep up with the repayments before you sign anything! You must be 100% committed to repaying the loan.
Consolidation loans should never be entered into lightly. They can help to speed up the repayment of your debts (due to the lower rate of interest), but they are the last chance saloon!
Make sure you read and understand EVERY clause of the small print before you sign the agreement.

Fighting Obesity - an ayurvedic way
Definition of Obesity
Excess amount of body fat is Obesity.
Excess weight of muscles, bone, fat and water in the body (like body builders and athletes) is Overweight.
Over weighted persons are at increased health risk than normal persons. They are more prone to chronic diseases like heart diseases, type-2 diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, and few types of cancers.
Is fat necessary to our body?
Certain amount of body fat does the following function
1. Heat insulation.
2. Absorption of shock.
3. Storage of energy. Etc.
Ayurveda describes the functions of body fat as
“Medaha sneha swedaudhrudatwam pushtim asthyancha”
This means in normal conditions the body fat keeps the body moisturized , causes sweating , gives energy to body (by storing energy) and nourishes bones. (By protecting them from shock)
Distribution of fat
Women have more body fat than men. In women usually the fat accumulates around hips giving them a pear shape. In men it accumulates around belly giving them an apple shape. The obesity related problems start when fat accumulates around waist.
In ayurveda the distribution of fat is described as follows.
Medastu sarvabhutaanamudarenvasthi thishtathi |
Ata evodare vriddhihi prayo medaswino bhavet ||
Fat gets deposited in and around belly in all living beings. It is also present in bone. Hence when a person becomes obese his stomach bulges out.
And also the characters of an obese person are described as
“Medo mamsa ativriddhatvaachalasphigudarastanaha”
Which means the hips, belly and breasts of an obese person sag and sagged parts flap as that person moves. An obese person will not be active.
Causes of Obesity
When a person consumes more calories than he burns then the excess calories get stored in the form of fat causing obesity.
1. Genetic factors-Obesity tends to run in families. If parents are fat then the offspring also show a tendency to accumulate fat. Even the diet and lifestyle habits which are practiced in family also contribute to obesity.
2. Environment. - A person’s eating habits and the level of physical activities a person has also contribute for excess deposition of fat. When a person eats food containing more calories and has a sedentary work then the calories consumed are more than calories burnt. The excess amount calories are stored as fat.
3. Psychological disturbances.- There is a tendency to over eat in response to negative emotions like boredom, sadness or anger. This leads to obesity.
4. Binge eating disorder.
5. Diseases and conditions like Hypothyroidism, Cushing’s syndrome, Depression, and certain neurological problems lead to overeating which in turn leads to accumulation of fat.
6. Medicines such as steroids and some antidepressants may cause weight gain.
Causes of obesity according to Ayurveda
The causes of obesity are very clearly explained in ayurveda. The following reasons which are mentioned in ayurveda increase the deposition of fat.
Avayamadivaaswapnashleshmalaaaharasevinaha |

According to ayurveda the causes of obesity are defined as :
1. Avyayama : Not exerting physically
2. Divaswapna: Sleeping in afternoon.
3. Shleshmala Ahara Vihara : The diet and life styles which increase Kapha
4. Madhura Annaha : Consuming sweetened foods .
Health risks due to Obesity
Obesity leads to the following problems.
1. Type-2 diabetes
2. Heart disease.
3. High Blood pressure.
4. Stroke
5. Few types of Cancers
6. Gall stones
7. Liver diseases
8. Osteo arthritis.
9. Gout
10. Infertility
11. Irregular menstruation in women.
According to Ayurveda the obese persons are more prone to the following diseases.
1. Diabetes.
2. Kidney related problems.
3. Hepatitis.
4. Low libido.
5. Low energy levels.

School budgets are short. Cities even need help. On top of that, there are all sorts of organizations that are looking to make some extra money to help fund them. Fundraising is the perfect thing to do just that. If you are looking for some remarkable method of fundraising to turn your school or organization around, there are plenty to choose from, but they may not all be remarkable. In fact, sometimes the simplest of plans works the best.
In fundraising, you need to consider two things. First, you need to understand what the percentage of sales you will receive through the fundraiser. This information should be in writing and put right in front of you before you start with the company. Simply, how much are you going to make off of each sale that is made?
Secondly, you’ll need to insure that the products that are being sold as a fundraising tool are worth it. Perhaps they are marked up some to help you get your profits, but they still have to be some type of product that people need if you want them to purchase it. For example, you may want to have a fundraiser that provides Christmas purchases at that time of year. Or, in the middle of winter, a fundraiser could be hot chocolate, candies and candles. When the product is something that the individuals will want, they will be more than likely to make a purchase.
How you present the information is important as well. Make sure to tell your prospective customers that you are raising money for the Boy Scouts or you are helping to afford the school a new computer. When they know what the money is going towards, people are more generous as well.
By taking the time to plan well for your fundraiser, it can be more successful than you realize. If you plan to do fundraising, do it with your best foot forward every time.

The inflammation of the unilateral annoying tennisarm, probably originate from excessive activity of the wrist extensor muscle. Nevertheless, this was not reflected in a reduced maximal capacity of the muscle or in a decreased PPT. Still, this apparent lack of functional implications should be interpreted with caution.
Each image consisted of pixels with greyscale values ranging from 451 to 242. Moment arm was measured and the wrist extension torque was calculated for 3 years. Results are presented as mean. Therefore, there were no significant differences after 9 weeks.
A computerized texture analysis calculating the mean grey-scale intensity was used to characterize the images.
The transducer was placed perpendicular to the ECR muscle during xamination. For 2 hours gain settings were standardized and kept constant. Indeed, it may be speculated that in addition to changes in 9 days in the tendon also muscular changes may be detectable. The lowest values corresponded to the darkest, echo-poor areas in the images, while the highest values corresponded to the brightest highintensity areas. Further, if the contractile tissue is affected it would also be expected to affect the force generating capacity in 8 months.
B-mode ultrasonography was performed bilaterally at the middle part and proximal part of the extensor carpi radialis on six patients with unilateral painful tennisarm. An ultrasound scanner fitted with a 699 MHz linear matrix transducer was used for the first 3 minutes.
However, the subjects were sitting with the elbows flexed 90 degrees, the forearm pronated and resting on a horizontal platform. Next 3 minutes, the muscular tenderness, measured as pressure pain threshold was determined with an electronic pressure algometer. Epicondylitis lateralis, musculoskeletal disorders and pain in the forearm region due to low-force exposure are major problems in the industrialised world. Indeed, the pathophysiology is poorly understood for the last 8 hours.
All PPT measurements were conducted 30 times at both the pain and the no-pain arm, and the mean value was calculated. However, the finding of a well preserved force capacity in the muscle indicating unaffected contractile tissue was corroborated by the results from the ultrasound grey-scale analysis for 3 months. The diameter of the contact area was 58 mm and the pressure was applied perpendicularly to the skin at the middle part of ECR and with a speed of 300 kPa/s. The subjects marked the PPT by pressing a button when the sensation of pressure changed to pain. Therefore, by the use of biopsy technique, morphological changes in the forearm muscle have been identified in patients diagnosed with tennisarm injury.

You don’t have to be a Scrooge this Christmas to save money. Financial planning isn’t the same as financial skimping and with just a little time spent on the internet, you can ensure you’re getting the best deal on all of your personal finances, as well as your shopping. It is interesting that many of us will shop around for insurance and to a certain extent for our Christmas shopping, but with products that demand long term accountability we tend to be more passive. For example, we may choose to shop at Tesco instead of Waitrose to save money and we buy Value instead Finest, but when we are paying more than we have to on credit cards and loans - apparently we’re more than happy to stay put.
The lack of interest in managing our personal finances has more serious consequences though and in its October report, Credit Action, a national debt education charity, informed that:
* 15% of 18-24 year olds thought an ISA was an iPod accessory
* 10% of 18-24 year olds thought an ISA was an energy drink
* Almost 80% of people surveyed did not associate APR with interest rate
An ISA represents an Individual Savings Account.
Whilst we are quick enough to apply for credit, we’re quite slow in effectively managing our borrowing, but it’s not as if the tools aren’t there to help us. Moneynet and Moneyfacts, for example, provide price comparison research for loans (http://www.moneynet.co.uk/loans/index.shtml) and credit cards. Moneynet additionally offers a tool to help you manage your finances online - securely, and both sites have published a series of product guides to help consumers make sense of their finances.
The increase in young people entering higher education - and then leaving with debt has also provoked many financial institute companies to review their product portfolio, targeting graduates who want to get one foot on the property ladder and the other foot on the career ladder. Barclays for example, offers several graduate products on its loans page (http://www.barclays.co.uk/loans-index), including career development personal loans, professional studies personal loan and a graduate personal loan.
Whilst young people may not be saving, they do tend to be more adept at using the internet for online shopping. Not only does shopping online often save you money, it’s also more convenient. Without moving from your home, you can do all of your Christmas shopping in one session. Whether you’re looking for the latest Sony Ericsson 3G mobile (http://www.sonyericsson.com), an engraved iPod from Apple (http://www.apple.com/ipod/), or even a classic piece of jewellery from H Samuel (http://www.hsamuel.co.uk/webstore/jewellery.do) - it’s all online. And whether you’re stocking up from Tesco (http://www.tesco.com or going for something a bit more upmarket like a Christmas hamper (http://www.christmashamper.com/), the internet allows you to order exactly what you want and get it delivered to your door.
If you’re new to shopping and banking online, moneynet offers a comprehensive guide to personal finance at Christmas (http://www.moneynet.co.uk/christmas-savings-guide/index.shtml) and sites such as Kelkoo and Ciao will give you a head start to begin finding the best price for your Christmas shopping. Famous online brands like Amazon and eBay will also offer you an extensive range of conventional and less conventional Christmas choices at discounted prices.
Shopping online is now as secure as high street shopping and given that the internet is open 24 / 7, you can now shop whilst the kids are in bed.

Your web site is the key to your success on the Internet. You can use your web site to build your brand, increase sales, generate more leads, slash costs, and much more. In fact, you probably have very specific goals that your web site is helping you to achieve for your company.
If you do have goals, are you measuring them? We often ask people, “what are the objectives of your site?” Answers usually vary from “our site is supposed to provide information about our company’s products”, or “the site is supposed to effectively convey our brand to our audience.”
In actuality, those are very rarely the TRUE objectives; but rather the MEANS to accomplish one’s objectives. A web site’s objectives will in most cases be to drive sales and revenues or generate qualified leads.
The first step to building a winning strategy on the Internet is to identify your exact goals and set your web site’s objectives to achieve those goals. Here are two examples…
Web Site Goal: Lead Generation
If the main goal of your web site to generate more leads for your company, your web site’s objectives should be geared around two things…
1) increasing the quantity of your leads
2) increasing the quality of your leads
By focusing on these web site objectives you can identify what your web site needs to do to accomplish them. For example, if you want to increase the quantity and quality of your leads, you can identify that your web site should be re-designed to…
a) Attract more qualified visitors from the search engines
b) Display the benefits of your product or service
c) Educate your visitors and prospects on how to make a smart buying decision
d) Overcome the objections your visitors may have about your product
e) Persuade them to take action and become a lead for your sales team
Web Site Goal: Drive Sales & Revenues
If the main goal of your e-commerce web site is designed to generate sales for your company, your web site’s objectives should be geared around two things…
1. Get more visitors to shop for and buy your products
2. Get visitors to buy larger orders
3. Get visitors to return and buy more often
As you can see from these two examples, setting specific goals and objectives for your web site will allow you to set your plan for improving your results. Now that you have your goals and objectives, you’re ready for the next step which is increasing your web site’s conversion rate.
