How to get a Phone Deal with Free Line Rental for 12 Months

July 31, 2008

12 month free offers are quite a recent trend and because of this they are little known by the majority of people. 12 month free offers are still the hidden gem in the midst of all the offers on the market at time of writing.

A free line rental deal is a kind of 100% cashback deal. With these offers you pay the bill just like normal for the first months. Further on in the contract in the mobile deal you are able to to claim one hundred percent of the cost of the mobile back from the shop that first sold you the mobile.

Effectively a 12 months free line rental phone contract will not cost a cent to run. This is true only so long as the individual taking out the mobile contract is thorough in making a request for for cashback. More often than not this is not quite as easy as consumers are lead to believe because of the fact that sellers build in quite a few tricks in the fine print of free line rental packages designed to limit the number of successful customers.

A major problem of free line rental bargains is the fact that in the event that the shop go under you have now way to redeem your 100% cash back. 12 month free is innevitably a compromise, as they are usually only available on inferior handsets.

Despite the complicated nature of free line rental products they remain genuine and customers are still able to obtain totally free phone for full duration of a 12 month contract.

Accross the entire market the most competitively priced way to purchase a free line rental offer is on the internet. As free line rental packages are a somewhat unusual product it is a good idea to find a comprehensive a comparison site to find the best priced packages on the day.

Mother Guilt

Guilt is by definition a feeling of responsibility for wrongdoing. It is a human emotion we all go through and it is not pleasant. By far, the worst kind of guilt a human can endure is mother guilt. Mother guilt can take on a wide spectrum of identities and intensities and can range anywhere from “too much tv” guilt, to “no current pictures” guilt all the way up to “bumped the baby’s head again” guilt and “bad rash guilt.” Mother guilt can show up anytime, anyplace, anywhere, even when you least expect it.

For example, a girl’s night out at the local coffee shop may seem innocent enough. Heck, you deserve a night out alone. The evening may seem as lovely as can be, until you are sitting there sipping at your cup of coffee, reading a parenting article about children’s vaccinations and suddenly realize that you haven’t scheduled your toddler’s 15 month checkup. You count the months on your fingers and realize that your child is now already 17 months old! Your mind races as you go through every possible scenario that will happen to your precious firstborn in the next hour and a half, while you are at this coffee shop. “Maybe she’ll come down with the measles from the kids at the local park, (she did feel warm before you left) and those playgrounds are crawling with germs.” Or even worse, you convince yourself you saw a rusty nail hanging out of the front stoop before you left, and that ” Oh my Lord, she’s going to get tetanus!” And then it sets in, slowly but surely… the mother guilt. “What kind of mother am I?” you ask yourself. Your child is walking around this germ infested world with nothing but a cheap windbreaker as a barrier of protection, (”more guilt…should’ve sprang for the LLBEAN jacket,”) while you’re sitting there drinking a hot latte. There is no question, no second thought, you need to get home and you need to get home right now! And there you have it. A perfectly lovely and relaxing evening is ruined once again, due to the inevitable, mother guilt.

Most of this mother guilt is a sure thing, we will all go through some degree of it, from birth on up to adulthood. There is however, some good news for all you stay-at-home moms. There is one type of mother guilt that you are guaranteed to never ever have DAY CARE GUILT.

Marion Burgos is a stay-at-home mother of three, who survives her chaotic days by writing and laughing about her endeavors.

Preventing Cancer with Green Tea?

We are constantly hearing ideas and claims of what we should eat to keep us from getting cancer. There is always new research somewhere showing how eating this or that will help us and potentially protect our bodies from getting cancer. Some of the studies are valid, some are not; some of the research shows that it cannot completely prevent it, simply reduce our chances by this percentage or that percentage providing we are male or female, black or white, old or young, etc.

Well few of these things are as good as green tea researchers say, of course the Chinese have been saying it for 10,000 years. A brand new research now shows that the phytochemicals in green tea are absolutely incredible. Something that the Asian cultures have known throughout their history, in fact it is quite well known that green tea is known to prevent many forms of cancer such as; Leukemia, Pancreatic cancer, Colon cancer, Lung cancer and Breast cancer. Some say that if green tea was a medicine or drug it would be considered more of a wonder drug than most other cancer drugs. Green tea is considered by many to be a powerful herb, which would be wise to incorporate into your diet.

There are presently no known side effects for green tea, yet it appears to be one of the most incredible anti-cancer compounds around. Think on this.

History of the National Basketball Association

July 29, 2008

The Basketball Association of America (BAA) started the first basketball season in 1946. In 1949, the BAA agreed to merge with the National Basketball League to become the National Basketball Association (NBA). At the start, there were seventeen franchises in the nation. However, in 1950 the franchises were consolidated to eleven. In 1950, the NBA became integrated, accepting the first African American players. Chuck Cooper joined the Boston Celtics, Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton joined the New York Knicks and Earl Lloyd joined the Washington Capitols. The Minneapolis Lakers won the first NBA Championship in 1950.

The NBA was at its smallest in 1954 when it had only eight franchises, all eight of which remain today. These are the Knickerbockers, Celtics, Warriors, Lakers, Royals/Kings, Pistons, Hawks and Nationals/76ers. 1954 also saw the introduction of the 24-second shot clock to increase the tension of the game.

The NBA played with the six-team format until 1967 when it expanded by adding two teams. This expansion was in response to the founding of the American Basketball Association (ABA) in an attempt to tie up the best cities. The following year the Division Semifinals was changed to a best-of-seven playoff. Two additional teams were added each in 1975 and 1977. In 1976, the NBA reached a settlement with the ABA, which added four ABA franchises to the NBA, raising the total to 22.

The current sixteen-team tournament was not started until 1984. The First round was then changed to a best-of-five playoff, to accommodate the new teams. It wasn’t until 2003 that first round became the best of seven we have today. During the last 2004 to 2005 season, the NBA underwent additional changes. There are now thirty NBA franchises and the division structure has been realigned. There are now three divisions with five teams each.

Your International Realty Market — Assisted by The Property Index

July 27, 2008

If you are looking to buy property abroad try Property Index, specialists in overseas property.

Notwithstanding the fact that the Property Index is only a young agency, they were incorporated only in March 2007, they have quickly established expert status. As a matter of fact, they are a extraordinarily hassle-free agency focused on proposing expert advice to every visitor determined to sell realty in most popular areas of the world. They’re guaranteed to help you uncover just what’s called for quickly and, of course, sans pain. Property is being offered wherever you want these days, undoubtedly the coolest area being properties available in France. It should be no big challenge to catalogue the wonderful real estate available for sale in France, the rationale for hunting for property here is a combination of the houses and apartments on the market and the marvelous possibility of being able to live surrounded by this vibrant people.

This is one of the truly favored regions of the world these days, and in view of the scenic beauty and the agreeable weather surrounding you all year long, how could you go wrong. Property in France is immersed in culture, art and history, this part of the world is home to a good many indigenous nations. Only 25-30 years back you’d find merely a dribble of Englishmen keen on real estate in France. Ask any person who has relocated to France and they are certain to back it up. Many would would view it as a fashion and others would view it as a approximating to a fetish… Shoppers who transfer here may extend from yuppies in search of an exciting new challenge to retirees planning to enjoy retirement.

Note, though, that you might encounter some quandaries when acquiring real estate abroad — there’s hundreds of steps to consider when scheduling, touring or finalizing the deal. If you only miss but a single minor step this could well generate far-reaching quandaries plus, most importantly, loss in financial terms. As can be assumed with this well-liked destination, real estate may well be expensive in this location which is, of course, clearly on account of the peaking market demand. Nevertheless the homebuyer is rather spoilt for choice in a region determined by good geography. It can offer all a patron might conceivably hanker after, etc.

Internet Entrepreneurship: First Step, Getting Started

July 26, 2008

First steps: choosing the business

When I was thinking about starting an internet business there were a few things that were must have requirements.

The first one was that I needed to be able to get the business to profitability for less than $1600 (£100). In practice each site has cost more than that when you figure in the marketing costs needed to get it off the ground quickly. The silk tie retailing site was set up for less than $300 but when you factor in marketing spend, then I have spent almost $800 per month on marketing, mostly Google Adwords and Overture. It is only after month three that I have got close to breaking even. Anyway, near enough and if you are more patient and make less costly mistakes than me then you should be able to do it for less.

Secondly. The business had to need as little manual work as possible. I am after a business that I can start working part time and as am a management consultant and sell my time by the hour, for me time really is money. I am also not keen on hiring people if I can avoid it. The internet has the potential to offer some really virtual businesses and I wanted to use this. For this reason as well as start-up costs this means that I do not want to stock or handle any products. I do a lot of supply chain consulting work so it was obvious to me that I could have a business that used other companies to buy, store and deliver the products. The easiest way to do this is by using dropshipping. Dropshippers are wholesalers that ship individual customer orders direct to your customers.

There is a lot of information on dropshipping online, however it has to be said that there are some terrible dropshipping companies where prices are too high or products too common to successfulull. Typical of these is thSelect which charges a fee to join, but once you join you find that the prices are often higher than they are being sold for on eBay and are widely sold with lots of competition. It is very hard to make good money from these sort of dropshippers. There are however some good companies out there with niche products where achievable margins are good.

The third requirement was that the business needed to have the potential to generate at least £1k per month in profit. That way with a few web businesses it could become my full time job. I decided that I was not trying to start the next Amazon, instead I was after a good profitable niche. Something not too competitive and with no house-hold names as competitors. This means that I have not gone into electronics even though it is the area I know the best, it is a very competitive market online and were competition includes Amazon and Dixons. To be successful in electronics you either need to find a niche not served by the big boys or spend serious money to get established.

I then started searching for business ideas. I read the get rich quick newsletters, internet marketing newsletters, internet business forums and drop shipping websites. I searched for dropship suppliers then when I found a product that I thought might be promising, did a search for it and checked out the competition. If after that it still looked interesting then I did a keyword search on Google AdWords to find out how many clicks I could get and at what cost.

While doing this I came across some sites selling ready-made business websites. Essentially they provide a shop template, a catalogue and a supplier of stock and off you go. These sell for between £50 ($80) and £500 ($800). I wasted a fair bit of money with a couple of false starts. I bid on a lingerie web business template on eBay with a starting price of £99; my wife was a lingerie merchandiser for Marks & Spencers and so I though she could help, then I saw a gadgets website from the same people and thought I would get that and see if I could find a gadgets niche and bid for that too. Trouble was I then did some more research and found that lingerie was very competitive online and that the supplier I would be getting had a limited selection of very tarty undies at rather high prices. I also found that the gadget supplier was the Select and as I have already said they are overpriced. I then found the tie web business and decided this was a better niche where margins really are 60% and bought that one from DpbUK who have been very good. Unfortunately no one else bid on the two on eBay and I ended up winning them although I no longer wanted them. $300 wasted. Oops. So do your homework carefully before buying; look carefully at the sample sites and try and find some clues to the suppliers, check the competition out and make sure the margins are high enough.

From Bank Clerk to Entreprenuer

July 24, 2008

What seems like a century ago, I left school and joined a well-known High Street Bank. In those days working as a bank clerk was a well-established route for many school leavers and perceived to be a proper job with prospects. It wasn’t long before I became disillusioned with the world of banking and sought a change of job. In complete contrast to my previous job, I became a clerk in the local hospital dealing with the injured and infirm, but it was a role that I found strangely interesting and rewarding. In today’s parlance, it is known as job satisfaction.

My career progressed rapidly and after working in a number of different departments I became Admissions Officer of a major regional hospital where I soon gained valuable front line experience. There is nothing more conducive to honing your powers of communication, persuasion, resilience and empathy than dealing with people when they are at their most vulnerable. Working in an Accident and Emergency Department definitely puts one’s life completely into perspective and is like being part of a TV medical soap opera.

My career came to halt when I met my husband and moved away from the area. I have to admit that back in the early 70’s marrying and having the obligatory 2.4 children was still the acceptable norm, although liberation for women was gathering pace. Being a conservative soul, I slipped into the mainstream and before I knew it I was the wife of a career man and the mother of two children living in a three-bed semi. Returning to work was not a consideration and this proved to be a sensible decision as my husband was posted to four different locations throughout the UK in the space of 6 years.

At the end of this period, the children were at school, our relocation days were over and we were finally able to establish some roots and settle down as a family. It was time to start considering my own needs and to plan a return to the mainstream work environment. This was not an easy thing to do after almost seven years of raising a family, but I plucked up courage and found myself back in the health care sector as a part time receptionist at my local doctor’s surgery, a role that I found very satisfying. My confidence increased and my job gave me a focus outside of my immediate family. I regained some independence, earned my own money and met a new circle of friends. At last I had an opportunity to talk about something other than children and I felt that the old grey matter was once again being stimulated!

After a while, the novelty of working in a doctor’s surgery wore off and I felt that I needed a fresh challenge. At the same time my husband also felt that he had had enough of corporate life and wanted to do something completely different. For a couple that had had a very structured life, the crossroads seemed to be particularly difficult to negotiate. After two years had passed and a couple of false starts, I decided that I wanted to pursue my own business interest with a little bit of help from my husband. He had pursued a portfolio career and had the time and expertise to help me develop my plans and make sure that I was on the right tracks.

The idea was quite simple and was borne out of my own frustration of finding quality lighting products locally for the home. Although we didn’t live in an isolated area, we still had to travel at least forty miles to find a lighting outlet that sold, what I considered to be, quality lighting. Upon further investigation, I found that there are many areas in the UK that are not well served with lighting shops and therefore I felt that there must be an opportunity to fill this gap in the market.

Once this need had been identified, the next problem was where to start. Opening my own shop was an option, but the economics of doing so were really not that attractive. Lighting is space hungry and the overheads associated with running a shop can be phenomenal. The other drawback was that whilst one shop would satisfy a few people, it didn’t really address the fundamental issue of providing a wide range of quality of lighting to as many people as possible as conveniently as possible. The answer lay on the Internet and via a mail order system, where people would not be bound by geographical or time constraints.

As the concept developed, I managed to enlist the cooperation of a couple of lighting manufacturers. This was not easy, since there are few suppliers who are prepared to take time to listen to your idea, let alone help you when you are not able to offer them any tangible evidence that you can deliver in any way, shape or form. Having secured the supply of products with David Hunt Lighting and Le Dauphin Lighting, I needed to find out how to set up a website and develop a mail order catalogue. I actually began by looking for an accountant, which is testimony to my optimism about the business empire that I was planning to build over the coming years! Within two meetings I had been introduced to a web designer and a marketing company, both of which were based locally.

The brakes were off and before long I was immersed in a completely new world. After months of contemplation and planning, The Light Company (Direct) Ltd was formed and was rapidly taking shape. It was a further six months until all the pieces of the jigsaw came together and, on the 19 January 2004, the website was launched and the mail order catalogues delivered.

As with many new business ventures, the early days are the most difficult and I am spending all of my time exploring ways in which I can make people aware of the extensive range of contemporary and classical decorative lighting that is on offer. I have already decided to open a showroom that will double up as my office design studio and mail order room. Although compact, the showroom will be far more suitable than the lock up on an industrial estate that I am currently using. It is a leap of faith, but having come this far, it is one that I feel has to be taken.

It is certainly a long way from the Accident and Emergency Department. I have swapped a career in the NHS to become an entrepreneur, even though I do not believe that I have the archetypical qualities of such. I am still nervous about taking risks and I still worry about what the future may hold, but my course is set and there is no backtracking.

Although completely unconnected, my years working in the health sector have proved to be useful particularly in dealing with customers and suppliers. It seems that good communication, combined with the ability to deal positively with people who are demanding across a whole spectrum of issues and events, are distinct attributes irrespective of your industry sector. In a perverse sort of way, this is the aspect of the business that turns me on and which fuels my enthusiasm to succeed.

Bad Credit Loans For Those Who Seek Alternatives for New or Old Car

July 23, 2008

You can still save money on a Bad Credit Loan by comparing rates, checking out multiple policies, and negotiating with lenders.

Getting a Bad Credit Loan doesn’t have to be like basic training. Someone with bad credit will more than likely have a tough time buying a brand new car at an affordable rate. Lenders are not willing to take a greater risk on a high priced vehicle if your credit has some blemishes.

Find the car you are interested in and try to figure out approximate monthly payments.

It’s a Serious Matter-Need to Resolve!

Yes, it is possible to dig your way out of debt if you know how to wield the shovel. Certainly, you are far from unique. Millions of people rely on credit to help them buy homes, cars, vacations and more. Inevitably, even the most conscientious can encounter job losses, medical emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances that make repayment difficult. Late payments or defaults will be noted on Bad Credit Loan reports that follow you for years, squeezing your standard of living; so, it’s imperative to convince the world that you’re a dependable, debt-paying customer.

Moreover, a negative Bad Credit Loan report can do more than impair your ability to get a loan or a line of credit–it can cost you your job.

You don’t have to sit back and let your Bad Credit Loan report wreak havoc on your life. If you’re straining against your credit lines, there are a few points that you, as a consumer should understand.

Be patient and don’t expect miracles to happen. Once you’ve accrued debts, there’s no simple way to make them disappear, no matter what you hear from companies that “guarantee” you relief from your obligations.

An Important Caveat

Take your time and do you research and even if you do have bad credit, you can save money. Don’t jump into a deal you are not ready for. It’s not worth it. Be prepared for the negotiations and everything will work out well for you and your car buying experience.

Here are some more tips on how to save money when buying a used car:

ַ Check out the car’s repair record, maintenance costs, and safety and mileage ratings in consumer magazines or online. Look up the “blue book” value, and be prepared to negotiate the price.

ַ Buying from a dealer? Look for the Buyers Guide. It’s required by a federal regulation called the Used Car Rule.

ַ Make sure all oral promises are written into the Buyers Guide

ַ You have the right to see a copy of the dealer’s warranty before you buy.

ַ Warranties are included in the price of the product; service contracts cost extra and are sold separately.

ַ Ask for the car’s maintenance record from the owner, dealer, or repair shop.

ַ Test-drive the car on hills, highways, and in stop-and-go traffic.

ַ Have the car inspected by a mechanic you hire.

ַ Check out the dealer with local consumer protection officials.

ַ If you buy a car “as is,” you’ll have to pay for anything that goes wrong after the sale.

ַ The Used Car Rule generally doesn’t apply to private sales.

To Avail

There are three major credit bureaus most lenders rely on for Bad Credit Loan reports: EQUIFAX, EXPERIAN AND TRANS UNION. Upon request, each of these companies must tell you everything that’s in your Bad Credit Loan report, along with the sources of information that they used. In addition, you must be given a list of everyone who has requested your Bad Credit Loan report within the past year (two years for job-related requests).

Each Bad Credit Loan report will include an “investigation request” form and instructions that you can use to question any items you believe to be in error. Once you submit this form, the credit bureau must investigate your claims and Bad Credit Loan report back within 30 days. If an inaccuracy has been found, it will be removed from the record. If the issue can’t be resolved, you’ll be allowed to prepare a short statement (up to 100 words) giving your side of the story, to be included in future Bad Credit Loan reports.

Communicate with your creditors once you’ve fallen behind. The procedures described above should help if your Bad Credit Loan report contains mistakes. If you’ve failed to make required payments on your debt, that information stays. Auto loan problems may require early warnings to creditors.

Cut your craving for credit completely. The less you charge, the smaller the chance you’ll wind up overextended. “Now,” says Harrison, “I have only one credit card, which I don’t use–it’s just for emergencies. If I want something, I pay with cash or with a debit card.”

Discover the Secrets of Using An Abdominal Exercise Machine for Sexy, Scuplted Abs

July 22, 2008

When it comes to fitness and exercise equipment, there are a
lot of different options to choose from. This is especially
true when talking about an abdominal exercise machine.

After all, the abs are the one thing everyone wants to improve upon.
For guys, it’s the six-pack, and for women, it’s a flat, toned and tight tummy.
And most people feel that if they can get a flat stomach, all the
other areas of their body will follow.

So we’re bombarded with infomercials that focus on the be all end
all wonderous inovation of their latest and greatest abdominal exercise
machine. If you just get that one machine, then you’re all set!

Six pack abs, here we come! Yes, there was a little bit of sarcasm
in that last part. After all, if it were that easy, if we just needed
the latest, greatest abdominal exercise machine for great abs, we’d
all have them by now. Instead, we seem to keep getting fatter. It
doesn’t really make any sense, does it?

Let me make a few points about ab exercise and getting a flat, lean,
six-pack stomach.

Diet, weight training, and cardio play the biggest role in
getting a flat stomach, not ab exercises or any one abdominal exercise
machine.

Most ab exercise equipment is pure junk.

Most people go about training their abdominal muscles in the
wrong way.

With that being said, let’s look at what you can do to train your
abs the right way, and what type of abdominal exercise machine can
help you do it better, faster, and in more comfort.

Let’s address point one above. Many ab machine advertisers, especially
on infomercials, will lead you to believe that working on their adbominal
exercise equipment will lead to weight loss and fat reduction,
especially in the region of the abs, ie, getting rid of the bulging
belly. This is incorrect on multiple points.

First, working your abs, especially on those ‘6 minutes to great abs’
routines, burns very few calories. Second, you can’t spot reduce,
which is the outdated idea that you will lose fat directly from the
area that you exercise.

In fact, your fat goes on based on your genetics, and this is also
the way it comes off, and usually in the reverse order. And the abs
is usually the last place fat loss occurs. You’ll see it on your
hands, face, neck, etc. first, before your stomach.

A quality abdominal exercise machine will strengthen your abdominal
muscles, which will lead to a leaner, more toned stomach. But
understand this - you won’t see that leaner toned stomach, until
you remove the fat that is covering up your abs!

Have you seen a relatively flat stomach on someone but it’s not
firm or toned? This is most likely because they don’t work their
ab muscles, so their abs aren’t developed enough to give a tigher,
leaner look to the stomach.

So it’s very important to work your abs. But keep in mind the
points being made here, that you need an overall fat loss,
exercise, and nutrition program to lose the fat covering your
abs so people can see the tight sexy stomach you’ve developed on
your abdominal exercise machine.

A great thing about a good ab machine is that it will keep you
working your abs. Let’s face it, ab training is boring and doing
conventional ab exercises like floor crunches, sit ups, leg
raises and reverse lying crunches can be very uncomfortable,
if not downright painful, and a lot of people develop neck problems.
An abdominal exercise machine plays an important role in
avoiding these issues.

If you keep this in mind, you’ll know what to expect from ab exercise
and abdominal machines. This way, you’ll keep using it as part of
an overall muscle building, fat loss program, instead of letting
the machine gather dust because you didn’t lose your stomach fat
from working your abs six minutes a day.
